I agree that this thread has gotten way out. We do need open discussion but if you dislike Bob and what he does why do you persist in buying his knives? I have one maker who I bought from that I feel far less animosity towards and I still will buy no more from him because I have doubts about his real world credibility when it comes to blade use and his ability to make a product to the level at which it is hyped. That is my problem. Also I just don't buy from those who turn me off. There are too many good guys out there. Also I think that too many wantabees look for guys with fancy titles behind their names to design and build knives for them. Being able to pound someone into the ground or kick in doors does not make you a great knife maker it is a whole different art and we need to recognize that. The best can merge the two arts but they do it in very different ways.

Coyote,

I agree completely, I bought ONE knife, the first and the last. Exactly, one martial arts experience does not improve the ability to actually make a knife.

Well I don't make any claims here that I can kick either Brams or Bob's ass but what I can do is close this thread as it has gotten a bit out of hand.

I know both Bob and Bram and I have respect for both.

If they have any differences on who designed, engineered or made love to a particular knife that is between them and not the rest of the world. So the arguement will rest at that.

Bob does not want any email on the subject so I guess you will never know his side. He makes the knife and has the ability to kill it so it looks like the Escalator is dead.

Let's move on.
