Hello all.

The Pikuni in D2 steel with a nice looking sheath seems (on paper) to look like a nice small fixed blade.

Anyone own or handle the knife that can tell me your impressions about it?

Thanks in advance!

Geode,

Have the Pikuni and like it. Feels pretty good in my hand, though you might find the handle a bit small. Sheath is good. Edge seems sharp enough, though I have not cut much with it. Assume it will take a while to understand if the D2 blade is somehow better than ATS-34 or something similar.

If you want/need a reasonably priced, 2.9 - 3" fixed blade, recommend it.

I bought two from Mike Turber at the Blade Show! It is a really nice knife that is well designed. (Simonich!) It is very usable and it made thicker than most neck type knives. I have used mine heavily and am impressed with the knife as a whole and D2E as a steel!

Up until I got one I was never real fond of small fixed blades, just give me a good folder. However the Pikuni proved to be a great little worker! Good steel, a great design, and a nice RiverCity Concealex sheath. All around a nice combination.

Clyde

I like mine, it is well made and the materials (CF and D2E) seem excellent. The handle is too short and the pommell bites the palm of my hand, The steel is quite thick for such a narrow blade, thus the blade is strong but at the sacrifice of cutting ability. The sheath is excellent and works well as a neck sheath or a s a small belt knife. I have had no corrosion problems and have worn it on many sweaty, hot humid days under my shirt.
Stay sharp,
Chad
