REKAT Sifu knife questionI

I am going to purchase a REKAT Sifu. I can get it with a blade made of ATS-34 or a blade made of D2-Modified steel. Which blade will hold the sharpest edge for the longest time?

The D-2E should hold an edge longer, but can be harder to sharpen. I have had 3 Sifu at one time...2 were ATS-34 steel, and one was D-2E steel. I still own the 2 ATS-34 Sifu. Myself...I like ATS-34 steel better.

I handled a SIFU at a gun show last month, It seemed incridibly huge to me. It was almost like a novelty toy, It was just huge. I don't know how else to describe it. The thing had an extra cutout on the handle for a finger I don't even have, its made for a monster!

Thankyou for the info, men. I love the monster knife comment. I'M still a grinnin pardner! I have 2 brothers--one is 6'6" & the other is 6'5". I'm the runt of our family. I'm only 6'2". However, I like big knives--the bigger the better-- and I have very big paws and I love to sharpen knives. I'm really looking forward to getting the mega-sifu in D2 steel.
