With all the recent harsh criticism and controversy about this company, its products AND the attitude of its personnel, I wasn't sure what I was getting into. I had two REKAT knives that had problems, so I returned them to have the problems resolved.

The nature of the problems is not the point here. What IS pertinant is that the difficulties were resolved promptly and to my total satisfaction, with courtesy and a professional attitude that was A-1 all the way. I was very favorably impressed with those I dealt with, especially Bob Brothers.

Perhaps some of those who claim not to have been treated in a similar manner might have done better if they had approached REKAT with courtesy and consideration themselves. In any case, I can only give a big "thumbs up" review to REKAT and my experience with them.:)

THAT'S what I'm talking about! REKAT's Bob Brothers DOES know his REKATs, and CAN make them purr.:).

Hello Blade,
I bought a REKAT Carnivour a few weeks ago, and have been very disappointed with the stiff, gritty action. Is this the problem you had? I would very much like to send mine back to REKAT if they can and will fix it. Do you have a contact and mailing address?

W.T.,

My recommendation is to send your knife to:

Robert Brothers
989 Philpott Road
Colville, WA 99114

along with a letter describing your problem and $5.00 to cover return shipping. I bet he'll take care of your problem promptly.

(Actually, my problems involved the locks on two SIFUs I have. Bob explained the problems, corrected them and sent me the parts from the locks in question that needed replacement. First-rate, intelligent and professional service.)

Thanks, Blade. Another forum member suggested I open and close the knife a few hundred times and the action would become smooth. I think I will try this first, since it is a bit less trouble than sending it back to REKAT. If that doesn't work then I will send it back. Thanks for the address.

W.T. beck,

Be very carefull while opening and closing that REKAT knife for those few hundred times so you don't get cut. (It's not named a "Carnivour" for nothing!.:D..:D.).
