Relaxing with traditional knives

I used to live on a farm, next to a riverbank and my favorite thing was to go out and whittle in the sunshine on the river bank. Theres nothing better than looking out across the marsh grass and watching the clouds go by. I would always make a small fire in the fire ring there and make some coffee and just unwind. I live in town now but Im hoping to get out and make some shavings when it warms up again.

I like to sit on my lanai (porch) in my rocking chair with a glass of whisky, my dog nearby, traditional knife in hand or pocket and watch the sunset over the water.

On cold weekends, the way I unwind - a cold beer, my classic rock & country playlist, fly tying vise, and of course a knife or two ...

Apparently I got a bit lazy in relaxing with my traditional knife, because today I noticed the snap on my Texas Jack was a bit lazy and discovered some dried gummy apple juice around my pivot.
I guess I've forgotten to keep the joints clean and liked

Who would've thought that I was relaxing a bit too much during this time off ?
Nah pumping my airguns during all this plinking I've been doing in the nice weather is just enough of a workout to keep me from being too lazy
