It's time to pass this one along. It's was made my Joe Calton. The blade is forged 52100, about 3/16" in front of the guard and 4 1/4" long. The handle is black Micarta.
I only used it in the kitchen a few times and cut some 1" manila rope. The rope is pretty hard and somewhat abrasive, so there is some very fine scuffing near the edge.
It doesn't show up in the photos. NOTE: The front of the handle is darker because of oil from the sheath. A little mineral oil will fix it.
