THE HERON is simply an awesome knife but can be a bit intimidating and so I pass it on to be used and enjoyed by someone who doesn't need to be concerned by timid non-knife types.
Here are it's specs:
• 52100 Blade - HRC 58-60
• OAL - 9-3/8" 11/16" thick at the handle
• 4-3/8" blade length X 3/16" thick
• Titanium Liner lock
• Black Micarta scales & backspace
• AKS bearings
• Forged titanium lock & clip
• Knife will come with Origin Paper from the maker.
This is not a "refined" knife - in regards to fit and finish - no LNIB Shiro here. It was not a refined and polished knife from the maker. It has been well cared for and UNUSED since returned from the maker for a tuneup - so it is in excellent condition and nicely sharp. Yes, there are some faint scratches on the blade as can be expected from a light user but it is sharp and ready for work.
The Centering is perfect and lock up is solid. Flipping action is very smooth and hard, comparable and easily as much fun as with my Shiro for certain!!!
