Last minute price reduction....the SOG is reduced to $90 and the Gerber is reduced to $40. Prices include shipping.
 
I am not entirely positive. There are no markings anywhere on the tool (that I can see) that mention anything about country of origin.
 
My google-fu is weak this morning. Can you tell me what type of steel is used in the Diesel? Pending that, I might just buy it.
 
Gerber doesn't seem to have any of that information available. If I were to make an educated guess, I'd say 420HC. They frequently like to say things like "high-carbon stainless steel" or "surgical stainless steel," which doesn't really tell a whole lot. They seem to be a bit more forthcoming about steels with their more expensive products.
