Rem-Oil?

I have a few assisted open folders as well as a variety of other knives some of which get more use than others. I noticed that some of my cheaper folders had started some minor rusting (due to the humidity here, I think), so I rubbed them down with some Rem-oil. It took what little rust there was off but is this a good choice for lubrication and protection of all of my knives?

for long term no use storage, i like break free clp. but if im using a knife, i keep it lubed and protected with rem oil. its cheap and easy to find, and it works well.

I used Rem-Oil (saturated cloths - got hundreds of them free once) for years on my knives and my firearms. I only recently made the switch to Break-Free for my firearms and Blue Lube for my knives. Rem-Oil is great I just like the others better. Seems like I used more Rem-Oil too. I can be more frugal with the newer stuff...maybe its just beccause it costs way more and I use it more sparingly!

I have been satisfied with Rem-oil on everything I have used it on. I got several small dropper bottles and use it on everything. Smells bad though.

I have used Rem-oil in the past. It seems to work well. I now prefer a dry type lubricant / protectant. I use Eezox, I started using it after I purchased my Seecamp pistol (Its recommended by the manufacturer).

I have Rem Oil and Hoppe's 9 oil. I used Rem Oil mostly at first, but I didn't like the film it left, so now I use the Hoppe's 9.

After my last bottle of 3-in-1 started running out, I started looking around at other brands & types. Rem oil came up a lot. I have some, and after michaelmcgo's test, I think I'll start using it more.

thx - cpr

weird, maybe i got a bad can or maybe they changed it a little since i used it (apx 20yrs ago), but i thought it was crap. i mean crap to the point where i've NEVER put it on anthing i own, since then.

G96 Gun Treatment, I really like this for knives and firearms. Find it really makes my folders open easy.
