Remember the moose antler knife?

Perhaps it was said just for the halibut. :p ;)

Dan, I love the RaySkin!!!! My son and I was talking about rayskin while I was up there. My grandson has a belt and a pair of boots made from it, Beautiful.
Bo found out my wallet matched his boots and I have to give him credit for not tryin to talk me out of it.;)
According to my son a fellow told them that the rayskin actually comes from underntath the outer layer of soft skin. And soft it is, the liner and all the insides of my wallet are made from the soft and supple leather while the outside is the calcified material. I've carried it about 3 years and there's absolutely no sign of wear!!!!

Dan, it's phenomenal. You are an inspiration (unfortunately).

I'd sign up for a passaround. Never done one, and this looks like a great one to start with.

BTW, is the handle detachable? It looks like it would make a great drinking horn, albeit a little small.

Hey Pendentive, no fair teasing me with pics of this great piece over in Shop talk and then hiding idea of a passaround here in this forum. :) Count me in if you decide to do it, keep coming back to these pics, would love to check it out for myself. GOod work. :)

I see lotsa stuff that is comparable to this over there, and those guys are nice and provide good feedback.

Keith

I too, fell in love at first glance!

The artistry and beauty leaves me breathless.

Kis' point applicable to me(the pain of the unattainable-speaking for myself only). Mind...I'm not saying no...exactly...
(Don't quite know what a pass around is, except by inference.)

Pen, truly a work of art, so .....
I DON'T UNDERSTAND!!!
Pass down to future family generations?

Enjoy the show!:)

Shirley,

Pass Around: Sign up on a list. Knife is mailed to each on on the list in turn, usually geographically to ease postage zone shipping charges. Each person on the list gets to FITCAL Feel,Inspect,Test, Calibrate,Adjust, Lubricate, in his or her own way. Than pass it on to the next person on the list, until it gets back to the original owner. Can take months for the passaround. Gives people a chance to fondle a work of art, they might not otherwise have a chance to do.

So Brendan can get in on a passaround if it happens, I will offer to be the one to ship overseas to him. Naturally, he would need to be willing to pay overseas shipping to the next guy.

Y'all think twice about sending a purty knife like that to Brendan, he's liable to take out another lion with it. Aren't they already on the endangered list?

Beautiful work Dan. If anybody "laughed hysterically" at a knife like that in front of me, he'd be lickety split engaged with dislodging a size 13 combat boot from his behind.

Sarge

To see this beaut I would be more than happy to pay the shipping costs.

Bob - thanks for a very generous offer, you're a gent !!

Greg - if I came up against a lion with that baby, I wouldn't need to use it, the kitty would stop and admire the knife then be on it's way !!

:)

That is some fantastic workmanship. It's kinda sad that you'll never be able to crank enough of something like that out to satisfy the bladelust of your fellow forumites.
Nice job!

Pen,

I can't even describe...I remember the first time I heard Nora Jones' voice, while flipping channels (and landing on VH1). I stopped breathing for a second, it was so beautiful.

Your knife makes me feel that way.

John, typically a "tool" user, but...damn...

I got it! First impression, it's a cool knife and I would be proud to own it...more to follow.
