Remember the W2 Forge blank I won from Fred Rowe Contest?

I made so finishing touches on the knife.

It has a nice hamon but I just can not get a good shot with my camera.

This is my first Bowie and first press fitted guard. I am pretty happy with the result.

Thanks Fred Rowe for the blank.

Thanks to Nick Wheeler and all the informtion he puts out there for the rest of us. If not for him and his contribution I never would have tried etching a hamon but his brush on technique was really successful for me and will be applying it in the future Bowies....

Thanks for looking guys.

I have 6 big knives I made along the way; I kept them thinking I might not make something quite as nice later on. If I needed there value in money; they could always be sold. But I'm glad now that I kept them. If you do this over a six year period; its a composite of your work and you can see where you've been and even where your headed.

An excellent piece of work. It has a beautiful symmetry about it, the black coffin handle sets it off.
