Here again I have an ode to the idea of Memento Mori, which calls one to be attentive to the inevitability of death. That sobering fact should focus our aim in life. The coffin sheath I made for this piece is meant to be a reminder of that.

O1 tool steel professionally heat treated by Timos

4” blade with swedge
8” OAL
3/32 thick double distal taper
No ricasso

Black and jade textured g10
Acid stonewashed

Coffin sheath is 8-9oz leather, DCC clip, double stitched, riveted with cut racks, treated with waterproofing and beeswax from a candle made by monks. Works in pocket or in waistband.
