REMF 119 remove logo?

If we just quit buying knives with crappy-looking words, logos and messages all over the blades and handles maybe they'll quit messing up good knives.

IT'S A KNIFE, NOT A BILLBOARD.

I have to agree with Vorpie. For years, I wanted to buy this knife, but never pulled the trigger.

The 802 is a knife I would like to have to go with my 102s, but the engraved signatures keep me from buying one.

I have a question for everyone. If the knife is better without the advertisement why are Alaskan Guides Knives with the logo more sought after than the ones that are not, even though they are made of the same materials?
I agree about the L.L.Bean. Too bad they stamped the sheath also, you could have buffed the blade and removed the logo.

less made. more rare usually more valuable.

Being very interested in this knife, several years ago, I specifically remember someone trying to buff the LLBean logo off the blade and it still left a ghost. That was the official deal breaker for me.

I wonder if you sent it into Buck they could remove it? I would then get ahold of Makael from the forum here and have him make a sheath or see what he could do with the original. He does great work!!!

Logo's in the blade really bug me, as do engraved game animals, wagon trains, etc. But obviously some people love them. I've never broken a knife, but as an engineer who tries to avoid all small sharp features in metal because they increase stress, these things just scream, "Not a working blade!"

Logo's on the sheath, on the other hand, I sort of like.
