remind me to leave well enough alone!

I took apart a lockback once, not fun putting it back together so I understand where you're coming from. The above link looks good though and it's certainly worth it!

Darn; I screwed mine up, too :(

I was done, tightening it all up (gently, if I might add), and all of a sudden, the T-6 "slips." One of the screws is now rounded in the head -_-

It's amazing how much junk can get in the knife after 6 months. It'll be another 6 months or so until I have to clean it again, so I'll have to remember that I have an F-ed clip screw lol

I really hate torx screws lol. And exactly for that reason, plus the difficulty finding bits. Then again, there isn't much else to use. I just wish the screw heads were deeper, like in some BM thumbstuds. I think that'd help a lot wish stripping screws.

ACE Hardware sells single, hardened tool steel, "Made in USA" Torx bits for IIRC, $2.99. Not hard to find at all if you look around a little. T6, T8, T9, T10are readily available in the ACE near my place hear in DC.

Will have to check them out. The issue is, I don't think there is one that close. That I haven't been to one in a long time, I don't readily think of them. Though it seems I should!

Ice cube trays are handy when taking things apart. You can drop parts in the slots sequentially as you go. That can help keeping those washers in the right spots.

+1 Digital pix are a great idea too.

You can order online from ACE as well for the same price as in-store. Shipping should only be a couple bucks.
