This knife is the 1986 "Hunter" reproduction by Camillus only different! The scales are cocobolo and the pattern # has been altered to agree with the scales in accordance with Remington's marking system. The original pattern was R1263 which corresponds to Remington's indicator for bone scales. 1268 refers to cocobolo scales. The knife is essentially perfect wrt fit and finish and shows no indication of any tampering with the exception of the pattern # which can be seen in the photos. The action is best described as sw-e-e-e-et. The pen blade does not carry the "1986" indicator that appears on the original "Hunters" and the "Remington" design on the main blade is faded. All things considered this is a fine folding knife and will make someone a sweet user if not a collectable.
