Remove and replace cellidor scales?

I'm wondering if it's possible to remove a cellidor scale and replace it without breaking it. Thinking of trying to add a straight pin to my rambler (splinter removal).

Well, when you remove the scale a little bit of plastic in the holes that attach to the pins will be torn off. Most of the time, the scale can still be replaced OK but you may need to use glue.
Insert a thin blade into the tweezers slot and start to lever the scale up. Work your way around.

I was taught by Swiss Bianco to go opposite the end the tweezers and toothpick are on. He said it was too easy to break the little piece around the toothpick or tweezers. YMMV

it's not hard! just go easy do like they said and pry em off slowly

I find older scales, the more solid ones are more brittle.

I've removed Vic scales once without incident. I used another SAK to pry the original scales off.
