remove JB welded guard?

Anyone have suggestions on how to remove a guard that has been JB welded to a stick tang?

good luck man, i once saw a guy hold motor mounts together with that stuff...

It's just epoxy. Apply a little heat and drive it off.

Acetone will dissolve it and heat will destroy it.

yep torch and tap off maybe 500-600F shoudl do it

I took one off for another guy that said it was JB and had the right color to be JB. I put it in a pot of boiling water tang first to where it just covered the guard for 30 min. and it became loose.

Ive heated them in a toaster to about 400 and they came off with a tap
