I would like to remove the blade from my 705 axis lock to strip off the BT coating. Can it be done by just removing the pivot pin like I can on my Sebenza?

Yes you can but if I remember right I had quite a bit of trouble aligning mine. You could give it a try. Also remember to pull the lock bar back when you are trying to align it or it will never seem to get straight no matter how hard you try.

All the knives in the world go round and round, round and round, round and round...DAMN, one of them took my wallet !!! :)

I never had much trouble with my axis. I always fully disassembled it though, scales and all. Dark Nemesis, email me and I can probably walk you through it or pay shipping either way and I'll throw it back together for you.
