Removing Printing from Blades

Got a couple of knives that have what seems like screen printing on the blades.
I think it detracts from the clean look of the knives.
Does anyone know how to remove the print? - or if I should even attempt it?

In most cases the markings on the blade are actually etched into the blade. So I think you will need to resurface it carefully going to progressive finer grades of sandpaper.

Thanks for the suggesstion, Gus.
Actually, I was hoping for some kind of liquid, or paste/polish might do the trick.
Didn't want to actually scrape the blades.
Appreciate your response though, Ed E

Try a Tuff Cloth. My friend removed the logo from a Hubertus (inadvertantly) with one.

Hi chance;
What a coincidence! One of the knives that I wanted to remove the printing from is a Hubertus!
You can bet I'm getting a Tuff Cloth.
Thank you, Ed E

Big Ed,
I've had good luck with Flitz or Semichrome.
For something more aggressive, try Mothers Mag Wheel Polish.
You can also use this combination to alter bead blasted blades where they are smoother and show less fingerprints.
It kinda produces a semi-gloss finish. Be sure to follow up with Tuf Cloth.
Later, Bill
