Removing the Coating from the Izula

I have a few Izulas and I was wanting to remove the coating on one of them. Does anyone know of a web site for a place I can go to to look at directions? Thanks

Yep there was a thread on something similar but with an RC-4, let me go dig up that thread. Internet is crappy tonight so I may take a little longer than 5-7 minutes if I'm unlucky

The link brought back memories. Made the blade look like the one on my grandfather's pocket knife. I have no idea how old it was when I saw it.

That was a great thread Scotsmanspride.

I've stripped and patina-ed knives in the past but never thought about putting together a photo tutorial.

I also didn't realize that stripper came in a spray can. I use the gloppy liquid when I want to remove a coating. I end up wasting a ton of it though.

Hmm, I wonder if there's any similiar chemical here to uncoating. Im not inteding to uncoat my RC-5 but I stripped my ka-bar.. tooka a good while to scratch it with sandpaper. :O I scratched so long that my skin started to hurt..
