Amen to that! I am sure there is an easier way but the methods I have used were painfully dificult. I used an old fillet blade and painstakingly chipped at the glob of epoxy. It takes a very long time with that method.
You could speed it up with a long drill bit. Drill out some of the glue and then you could chip it away faster. There isnt a lot of room between the nut and the inside wall of the handle though so you would have to use a small diameter drill.
I have seen a few handles that accidentally got a double shot of glue. Personally I would pass on one like that, what a headache!
I hope this helps, maybe someone knows of a solvent that dissolves epoxy?
