Are the Renegade and/or Blackhawk coming out soon? Or have I been playing the mushroom again, and they've been killed off?

I saw them in the latest mini-catalog that came with my NEW MILITARY (yea!).

A pair of very cool looking knives.

Uh, how long has that Military been on the shelf (or are the elves at Spyderco having fun by using up old catalogs)? These two were produced some time ago. Weren't they both killed off a year or two ago? Thought I saw one or the other in the For Sale forum a couple days ago (or maybe it was on eBay)...

No, I believe the knife is a new one. Must just have been an old catalog.

I'll post the question in a new topic through, just to get the info out there.

I verified; I got the newest version. Must be the "elves" using up old catalogs.

The larger of the two looks pretty interesting. Wonder why they were discontinued?

They are really nice knives... and still available in limited numbers

Actually, I thought they were liner-locks at first. I think I'll wait and see if they are re-released with new locks. Other than the lock-back, the rest of it looks great. Of course, it needs the new-style curved clip that stradles the pivot screw.

Is it just me, or does anyone else see a family resemblance between the Black Hawk and the Native?

Take care,

Don't worry that the world might end tomorrow....in Australia it's tomorrow already.

Dennis Wright of Wrightknives 619-465-6905 has some Renegades and Blackhawks leave a message and he will eventually get back to you. It may take a while they are moving.

Thanks for the help Heyns.

One question... maybe someone knows. These are the only Spyderco's I've found that have "Golden Colorado, U.S.A Earth" on the blade. Anyone else ever seen "Earth" on other Spydie Blades?
