Sal, or anyone in "the know",

Was the Renegade supposed to be the Spyderco challenger to Benchmade's AFCK?

I just obtained a Renegade through a fellow Bladeforums member and I am truly sorry that this knife has been discontinued. I believe that it might have replaced my AFCK as a daily carry piece if I knew I could easily replace it if it were lost, stolen, or broken. I'd have to add a little filework to the spine for my thumb though. Maybe I'll just have to keep looking for a few more.

4th - they were designed independently and came out about the same time, but neither of us knew about the other until they were both in final design.

Hi Joel.. Can I make a request? Can you post a picture of the Renegade here? I have yet to see one, and as it is already discontinued, I don't think it's in the Spyderco catalog.

The Renegade and it's smaller brother, the Black Hawk, have both been discontinued. I do have a few of the Black Hawks left in stock. Blade length is 3"....GIN-1 steel.
