Renewed interest in traditionals BLOCKED

It is probably a fixed blade, but may be a small lockback. Genuine Case made in Germany, rare as hen's teeth these days.

Knifeswapper - I looked at the label on the bottom of the box yesterday

...and nothing clicked at first.
Today, though, a thought hit me; and sure enough

The number matches.




Seems like an awfully big box to hold a smaller box...but did I connect the right dots?

I'm thinking I got it right - when I removed the contents of the large box, this fell out...

That would be it. I sure don't recall them making many razors though. Most were fixed blades and a couple lockbacks.
 
Just as an FYI, there is one of those pearl razors exactly like yours listed right now on a big auction site for over $1,000.
 
That price doesn't surprise me; but it will be interesting to see if it actually sells...some people's BIN prices are extremely optimistic, and not at all reflective of current valuation.
