Can a decorated sebenza be refinished to look like new like a standard can? Just curious, since I'm getting one, and will use it. I just wanted to know if I will be able to have it "freshened up" after the daily little bumps and bruises that it may encounter over the next couple of years.

TIA,
BH

If the surface of the handle becomes scratched we can do some re-polishing and make the surface look like new. If the anodized areas become scratched and damaged, it would depend on the type of design as whether or not it could be repaired. We would need to see it first.
Thanks,
Mark

And what about the wood inlay Sebenzas? If the wood were to get scratched or scuffed, assuming it wasn't too deep, could it be restored to look new again?

Thanks for the reply mark, This is one of the "Fly" or Pheasant tail designs. If the color in the design becomes scratched, could it be restored?

Thanks,
Brian

Since the wood stabilization process permeates the wood and isn't a surface finish, a scratch can be carefully sanded out and repolished by the user.

The decorated models have their color anodized areas machined into the titanium slab, below the satin-finished surface, where they are unlikely to get scratched by brushing against stuff. The flat surface is the natural color of the metal and not a surface finish, so it too should be (carefully) user-maintainable.

Of course, sending the knife back to CRK for refurbishing at relatively small expense is probably a more reliable way to get it right than using successive grits of wet&dry paper on a hard sanding block.
