Rennie Raines... *** BEWARE ***

I want everyone to beware of Rennie Raines because he ripped me off after I sent him a U.S.P.M.O. last month. He keeps telling me he sent the package, then he turns around and says he'll send it tomorrow, only tomorrow never comes.
I know now that he has a history of not shipping and was hoping to hear from others that have had problems with this guy?
I've done a lot of deals on this forum and other forums and have never had a problem until now. I hate it when one person can make me lose faith in my deals.
I guess he uses different usernames and has been on the Emerson Forums where he's done a lot of people bad and also on the HK Forums.
If anyone else has had any bad dealings with RAINES, I'd like to hear about it and I would like to somehow get him banned from these forums if it was at all possible.

not cool at all !!! sorry to hear this rdt !!!if you sent him a us postal money order and he rips you off , then my suggestion is to file a complaint for mail fraud against him with the postal inspector . rennie has had a history of doing this i am told . the only thing i know of first hand is back in 96-97 he burnt one of the usual suspects for an emerson neck knife . well i had actually had the good fortune to hear about this as i was preparing to send rennie an emerson worth much more . i made it my biz to tell him that even though he paid me for the knife , i would not ship it to him till he came correct with US meaning he needed to pay US or send him the neck knife back once US had either certified funds or the knife back , i would ship rennie his knife he did make it right. dont know if he would of though without that lweverage i had on him i hope it works out for you my friend sorry you are having to deal with what you are going thru .but if he wont make it right , then use all resources within your power to make sure he does not burn any others thanx hope this helps JAXURMAN
 
Rennie has been having "difficulties" with his end of the deal since at least 1987 when I first met him.

3 decades and still going strong!
 
I agree with Jack.

File a complaint with your local Postal Inspector for mail fraud.

The USPS takes these complaints seriously, and will investigate, and prosecute if the evidence stacks up.

Don't delay. File the complaint ASAP!
 
Rennie lives in Alabama. I think he might be making good on our deal because I got an emal from him sying he sent me out a M.O. Express Mail on the 15th, but it never came today. I hope it comes Monday.

I told him I wanted either my merchandise or a M.O. and it should've been here today if the Express Mail is truly overnight, but I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt it might be here Monday.

tell him you want the tracking # then you can track it on usps website . express can take 2 days , but they do deliver express on sundays , so if it was mailed friday express , you should get it sunday by 3pm at the latest . i hope it works out , and if he "comes correct" post it as well JAXURMAN
 
I didn't know the U.S.P.S. delivered EXPRESS mail on Sundays.
That's great...If I do get my package tomorrow, I'll post it on here with the good news. I tried to track his mail and it said it was shipped on the 15th which was Friday, but it showed it was still in Alabama as of today, Saturday, with no further updates. I'll let you guys know what happens.
Sunday Delivery...I never even considered that they did that...

You mean he is still screwing people today?? Not cool at all, man :mad: I thought he was done with selling knives? Rennie has a long-standing rep on the forums as being one who cannot keep his word. Definitely one to stay away from. I have a dealer friend of mine whom Rennie owed money to. It was a very looooong time until he finally paid up.
 
I want to say that my package finally arrived today, even though Rennie shipped it by EXPRESS MAIL on the 15th. I called the post offices 800# and they verified that it was sent EXPRESS MAIL on Mar.15th, and I should've got the package by the 17th at the very latest. I got it today, the 19th and it was the post office that really did screw up this last time. I guess Rennie will get his $12.45 refunded according to the USPS policy.
