Hi all

Recently i picked up an old Woodling Verona Double bit Axe from ebay.
As things go it somehow looked better in the auction pics :/

Still i would like to see if this can be brought back to life.

Is there a smith available willing to forgeweld 2 new cutting bits into the axe ? Assuming the main body is 1055 or similar 1075 for the cutting edges would be a good choice (below the 0.8 c mark)

And maybe can even out some of the pits and dents in the process as well to make it all nice and ready for a few generations of use once more :)

It will then needs a new heat treat as well if you are up for that otherwise a trip to peters would be alright with me.

Please let me know if someone is available and
what it would cost.

Thanks a lot.

I would be willing to do this project or at least discuss it further with you. Although May I ask why you need two new bits forge welded in? If you were concerned about the edge it could simply be cleaned up and reheat-treated.
