Replace thumb stud, drill a hole?

This may be do able with a grinding point rather than a drill. These are sold at hardware stores and it should be done with a drill press. Care should be taken to go slow taking little bits at a time so you won't draw the temper. One problem would be that you would be limited size wise.

I think I´ll approach this problem from another angle. I try it on a cheap knife about the same size and blade thickness as the BM. If it works then I´ll go for it.
