Replace Watch with Horological Machine?

Forget the Tag, Fortis, Rolex, Omega or bell and Ross watches----too pedestrian. I have found my watch, I mean horological machine!!! Unfortunately I need to get a new career or do some fortuitous stock trading, or sell my daughters.

Now that I have seen all that is holy in a time piece I will be disappointed in the styling in the rest

What am I'm talking about?

MB&F Thunderbolt

I shudder to think of what their other machines are like. The ultimate in wrist porn.

This has just replaced Chronoswiss Wristmaster as my object of desire.

Thanks, but I'll stick to my starship when I want to fly to Alpha Centauri.
For my wristwatch, I want something I can glance at, tell the time, and move on.

I guess they are serious, but this looks like something in the "science" catalogs for little kids, the combination magnifier, binoculars, compass, tweezers, and bug box.

This isn't about knowing the time. This is about wicked cool art deco looks and not a cheap piece of plastic.

If I really want to know the time I look at my phone:D

This doesn't appeal to my practical side...It appeals to my want to look at my watch and imagine flying to alpha centauri for lunch. Since i paid $158,000 for my horological machine side.

Nothing about the manufacture or materials looks little kid to me...just the design...Thats what makes it cool to me. Just Like the Bell and Ross makes my arm an aircraft cockpit.

Not everyones cup of tea for sure, but if you like the exotic blends they offer in the outer rim of the galaxy this is for you.

It actually won the prize for best Concept and Design at the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie of Geneva 2010.

Then there's this gem...

Just add leather Jacket and Rocket Back pack(which looks like the watch)

or

Buck Rogers The original not the 80's version.

Bell & Ross is class. :)

Their original square cockpit style I agree, Its the minimalist function over form mechanical cockpit style. It the opposite of the Art Deco form over function (to me) style of the Thunderbolt.

I would wear either. I could afford the Bell and Ross, just can't get myself to drop 4 K on a watch though.

Thanks, I'll stick with mine :)

I've been wearing my Black Monster for a year and a half now. I had liked digital for a while, but I prefer a simple direct time display now. When I was in the Air Force, I wore a Breitling Navitimer. I used the circular slide rule a lot. That was before electronic calculators, when I was a slide rule wizard! :D

I like them, they even have a cool glow :) I still have a Casio Pathfinder but I find, I wear this one allot more. I also have a marathon with Tritium but man its big...I've almost sold it several times but I just cant bring myself to do it.

My daughter got me a Pathfinder. Just the kind of watch I used to like. But I only wear it occasionally, never figured out how to use any functions on it but the time. It didn't come with an instruction booklet and I can't find the exact model on Casio's PDF page, which is hard to read anyway. (I'm not a great fan of the PDF format.) I've got a Suunto I never use, either.

Have you still got it. I love that watch, wanted one from the day I first saw it. Back when I first started flying the circular slide rule/flight computer was all we had too. Having it in a watch would have been just perfect.

Love the look of the Navitimer, just never could bring myself to pull the trigger on buying one. I've owned several versions of the Citizen Skyhawk and am sporting the titanium one now. Keeps great time and I've always liked having the "whiz wheel" on my watch. Not only handy for speed/distance calculations but currency conversions too. I wish TAG made a watch with one.

I'll stick with my Rolex Sea Dweller. It has the classic look of a Submariner with a depth rating I will never reach let alone surpass. I've worn it everyday all day since I bought it.

Doesn't have enough knobs and dials on it. ;)
