Will Chris Reeve Knives offer replacement blades? I have a "classic" sebenza made in 2007 and it has been sharpened quite a bit and I feel could use a new blade. Can I purchase a new one? I sent CRK a message directly but figured I'd ask here as well.

Please let us know what they say about replacing the blade. Bart

they will most probably not do a blade replacement on anything other than current production models unless it is a warranty issue. let us know if you hear otherwise.

Well that's a bummer - even if I paid for a new blade with the new steel? Am I just supposed to throw the knife away once the blade reaches the end of its usable life?

Ultimately they will be the last say, still waiting on a response.

Do you expect companies to always provide parts for all of their old products? Will Chevy sell me a new engine for a 69 Camaro?

The warranty page on Chris Reeves website has warranty detail and I think their customer service people work Mon-Thurs.

It's a fair question to be sure.... there is however only one place the true answer can be found.... Please let us know when you hear from CRK ... I have a regular Serrated Ladder Damascus blade that is getting long in the tooth.... Would I pay to have a new replacement regardless of it not being a warranty issue... heck yeah!

I do believe that they stopped blade replacement several years ago, just for warranty work now. I had this WC small 21 changed from a regular blade to a serrated one back when they would still do them, glad that I did.

Yes we can absolutely sell you a new motor for your ‘69 Camaro anytime ☺️

On a serious note though. I think they keep a stash of older blades for warranty issues, from what I’ve been told. I don’t know how many models back they’ll go though. I was only inquiring about a Lg 21.

I don't know the answer to this ?, but
Some have extra blades made while the model is still in production-not a bad idea

The answer is yes Chevy will. Don't expect it from CRK.

Interesting question. Disheartening to know that if the answer is no, you’re left with a well used handle.

If the blade has been sharpened so much that it’s too thick for a good edge I would find someone to “regrind” it.

Would love to see a pic of the over-sharpened blade. Did the profile change? Did it lose its belly? What sharpening system did you use?

Is this the same knife you listed for sale? How did the knife itself maintain such good condition, even the stonewash on the blade, but the edge was sharpened way down like that?

$675 for a throwaway knife is a lot of money, I think your ad needs some more info on just how badly this blade was sharpened.

Throwing away a knife with completely worn out blade sounds reasonable to me. But I would like to see a Chris Reeve knife that has actually been resharpened down to that point.
