Replacement hip belts?

I recently purchased an Osprey Eclipse 36 from a fellow forum member. It showed up and had no hip belt. After contacting him, the seller said that he's looked around and there must not be one.:(:grumpy:

Does anyone know how to go about getting a replacement? Does someone make "universal" replacements that may fit? The pack is pretty much useless without the hip belt and the seller has really been no help so I'm hoping that one of you can shed some light on the issue for me.

Thanks
Adam

Is the eclipse even still in production??

If it is, id contact osprey, if not then you might have to scavenge one up, or make one from webbing and a buckle. You could scavenge one off the us army alice pack frames at a surplus store, or order one off the net....

I think I'd try to contact Osprey first, maybe they have something that's close and would work. I don't know exactly how the 36 belt is, but I have an Eclipse 32 and it wouldn't be very hard to duplicate the belt. It's pretty thin foam with a couple of buckles on it. I think it would be easier to make one than to adapt one from something else. eBay might be another possibility.
