The small metal disc that holds on the wire pocket clip for my Dodo has broken. Where can I get a replacement? Contact Spyderco directly?

In the event that Spyderco is fresh out of parts for that discontinued knife all is not lost.

The easiest way to replace the spacer that you no longer have is measure the thickness of the old one or the thickness of the blade with both washers in place using a digital caliper. Then once you know this find you a piece of Micarta or G10 in that same thickness and simply drill a hole the same size as the barrel going through the old one (5/32 as I recall) and fashion you a round replacement spacer using a small bench sander.

Don't see a metal disk on mine, just a "chicago" type two piece screw, that looks just like the pivot screw, and a short piece of metal tubing that serves as a standoff between the two handle slabs. The Dodo has been discontinued for a while, but Spyderco is still your best bet for getting a replacement part for it.

I checked four of mine and they don't have the metal disk either, just the screw.
HMMMMM!

Mine has a sleeve around the barrel akin to what you see in a bushing type pivot. I think he is referring to that rear sleeve that can spin freely around the barrel used in the tail of the folder.

That's my guess too Steve.

Thanks, guys. I will have to wait until I get home to do any of those things, but I will certainly get to it. I love that knife. One of the many designs I'll never understand why they disocntinued.
