i have dealt with the big 3 in warranty departments and hands down Benchmade has them beat (spyderco and zero tolerance) , i asked for replacement pocket clips and they sent me 12 clips in deep carry in black and chrome free ! and fast . i recently got a spyderco pm2 g10 in s110v and went to replace the very cheapo plurble scales , and stripped out one side of the pivot , and one body screw , so unable to replace the scales, thank red loctite! and they said they stopped using red loctite last year but not in January which was when mine was made , so 25$ to get the screws out and replaced , why am i paying for their mistake. ( you can now take apart your spyderco and not void the warranty , they accused me of being stupid nood ( basically ) and i would have to pay to get the butter screws machined out, i work on much higher precision stuff than a simple knife , macbook airs ipads etc , when you combine red loctite and butter screws , there is no other outcome, the shocking didn't work as they suggest i have a very pricey set of the same drivers they use , and good luck heating it up to 550 degrees Fahrenheit and not completely ruining the temper and scales, , not after that i sent it in as not much else i could do , the scales btw are flytanium aluminum scales, the ones that came with it felt cheap and just aweful, strangely the blurple scales on the manix 2/g10 where nice . this leads me to zero tolerance, i bought my very first one a few days ago ( a wonderful 0920) and contacted warranty to see about getting a.spare clip and screws , they said back that the clip and pivot screw are considered premium parts and are not free at all and please send us 40$ , i said interesting i thought the clips were free and how surprised people are going to be when i tell them they are premium and not free . so i signed up here to let you know ZT no longer offers free clips , and i was going to buy another ZT given how nice the 0920 is but i would have to reconsider this after finding out that either she doesn't know what she is talking about ( not good) or they suddenly changed their policies ( not good) so yeah Benchmade rules supreme. sadly i most likely will not buy another ZT , and with spyderco i am going to have to build in 25$ tax to get the red out! but 40$ for a clip and pivot screw is nuts!, i can post the email if needed. i am over 500 knives in my collection now and sadly there will only ever be one ZT !

fill up a trucks tank or replace the oil?! to move a couch! cheaper to call a mover ! as a truck owner ,i would never expect someone to fill up the tank especially if i was foolish enough to get down to 1/4 tank, i could see filling it with what you used but i use midgrade and have a big tank thats over 100$ and i hurt anyone who changed my oil but me ! how would they know the brand , thats its only ever run fully synthetic oil, and which filter i use ! i understand kind of what you mean , but really depends on how long , where, and what did they do with it , mostly it for a few hours to move something heavy or pull something , replace the gas you used and maybe a six pack but that about it unless they did something wrong , then it would cost a lot more than either case we presented! lol.
also who doesn't like free stuff , i sure do . I don't expect it but its nice when it is , the issue i had with ZT is the prices , imcould get a much nicer aftermarket part for much less . and the pivot screw is one very nice but simple screw not worth 40$ or whatever the breakdown is with the cost of the clip, feel like i am being held over a barrel for a part i can only get from them, but of course it would have to break through some freakishly weird accident as i never abuse my knives ever , not even the cheap ones , not even my adamas .

Which aftermarket parts of ZT cost less? Less than what? Lets see ZT 0562 and 0562cf. Everything is identical except the blade material and the presentation side scale. Try to find an aftermarket cf scale of 0562 for $40 (and I am ignoring the steel difference).
A full set of aftermarket ti hardware of 0562 costs 100+ dollars.

flytanium sells aluminum scales for both sides of the pm2 for 35$ ( i dont know why you would replace the carbon fiber with ZT knives i didnt mention but those would be pricey, i talked about the pivot and clip for the 0920 , which they want 40$ , you can buy aftermarket titanium clips all day long for 20$ plus depending on how long you want to wait , i replaced the clips on both my 551-1 and 556-1 for 24$ with a matching blue titanium clips with flush mount screws! i somehow doubt the clip ZT would send me at whatever part of the 40$ would be titanium or deep carry . as from what I've read they will only replace it with original clips , give me a second and i shall post what i received from ZT.

OK I see what you are saying. $15 for a factory titanium ZT 0920 pocket clip seems more than fair to me. Not sure about the pivot screw set but $25 does not seem to be far off as well.
15$ not bad but not free as i have read everwhere , 25 for pivot a little pricey maybe 15$ but not free , but premium, most likely i would never have to replace either but its nice to have sparw parts , and it would most likely be covered by warranty, but why say clips are a premium part when we both know they are not . i dont like not being lied to , i deal with a lot of companies and some are great ( amazon , target, starbucks, kershaw, crkt, s&w , ruger, and 98% are damn good , walmart , apple , and now zt seems to dislike their customers or lack training , Lexus is fantastic , but so far walmart and apple have been the worst vut i won both of my cases with them and getting gift cards and apologies for how badly i was treated , alamo drafthouse i will never deal with again as they hate disabled people. , but i believe if i called ZT and asked for the same thing , i would get them both for free. the closer and more human you appear the better most people behave, just like people in convertibles are treated better than people in very dark tinted cars . they can see the people and it changes perception. though some companies i will fight for the love of the company and fairness , such as apple , i spent 3 months getting a computer replaced due to faulty parts , they even tried to buy me off with a pricey aftermarket CAD card that cost 2k , i sold it as they said i should do and still got my computer replaced , took 3 months, but i got what my expensive warranty should have taken less than a week .
you are not entitled to a free clip.
where does it say this besides the email i received, do a search for zt and free clips ! you will see it a lot in these forums alone. much less just about every other place that understands the search. otherwise why would i bother with this at all , i know spyderco doesn't give out clips or replace blades ,and are very upfront about it , ZT I've read was almost exactly like BM as far as free clips and low cost blade replacement, 20-30$ used to be 5$ at BM a lomg time ago☺ .
