Replacement scales for Kershaw Chive?

Will be looking into re-scaling my two EDC knives soon: Kershaw Chive and BM Mini-Grip.

I've seen re-scaled Chives on eBay, including a slick little scrimshawed one with a line-sketch of Wyatt Earp. I'm under the vague impressions that only the top scale is replaced, and the SS bottom scale is retained (all the moving parts are down there?).

Does anyone know a knifesmith who can replace the top scale of a Chive? I'm thinking elk or moose antler to match my Ruger Bearcat grips. Then again, maybe a piece of ivory that tiny might be semi-affordable.

Any tips?

This issue came up again in General (from another BFC member).

Anyone have any fresh ideas? I really wish now that I'd bought that Wyatt Earp bone-handled Chive, or at least asked who the maker was...
