Replacing 0561 stabilizer?

I see that you can buy a .45 caliber version, but in my opinion it is too expensive (I know this is coming from a guy who just spent $260 on ONE knife). Besides I do not shoot .45 so I don't see the point in buying one of those. I do have some .40 and .357 sig casings that I could try to mod. How hard is this/does anyone have instructions on how to do this? I would prefer to use a .357 sig casing.

I hope I'm not offending anyone, but I have a hard time believing I'm the only one who thinks bullet stabilizers are retarded. They don't flow with the design of the knife... At all. Ever. On any knife. They look tacky. I'm also a gun person. I'd never put one on any knife.

You definitely aren't the only one because I feel the same way... but to each their own. I'm sure there are people out there who think orange knives are tacky too. :p

Nope still looks sexy to me!

Yeah that one looks like the bullet stabilizer BELONGS there. It is very sexy. I would like to get a nickle 9mm (which is what I shoot for now) for my new 303, but I dont want it to break so Im going to wait and see if any better solutions come out soon. I hope EZ Bakes friend comes out with something functional and sexy, I would really like something cool looking where my blank black stabilizer is now. I might try to polish it, or at least take off the coating and make it a satin finish.

I think bullet stabilizers look good, there are a few knives Ive seen where they use a .45 and it sticks out and looks huge and that looks off, but most of them look good. But it depends on the knife and how much time they put into the look and the fit of it.
