I've got a '65 Camillus that's had a broken spring for years probably before I was born, I'd like to get a replacement spring and information on removing steel pins and re-pinning OR a point in the right direction on where to talk to someone that does repair work.

Thanks,

Jon

If you have a donor knife i could probably help you with tips on how to proceed.

I guess it's time to scour e-bay for a donor knife, probably cheaper than having a craftsman duplicate the other spring in the knife and go through the heat treat and fitting process.

Thanks!

I can duplicate the spring, but it's expensive.
Find a donor and post in this thread, and I'll tell you how to do it.
That doesn't mean you'll be ABLE to do it, though. It will require replacement pin stock of the proper material, A Dremel or similar with an assortment of bits, a very small hammer, an anvil of some sort, files, etc.
Be aware that even with a replacement spring from another knife, fitting probably will be required.
