Greetings.,I am in need of a new Ironwood handle on a Randall Sportsmans Bowie.,I have a block of Ironwood, but would never attempt this on my own.,A mans gotta' know his limitations.,If anyone has any suggestions, your input would be much appreciated.,Thanks!

I agree with Bill, have Randall do it for you, that will help you make sure the knife retains collector value.

Thanks for your replys guys.,Spoke with Gary Randall, and was told they still are not re-handling there knives.,That,of course, would be the best solution,But,because our nation is at war, they are just to busy provideing our fighting men with their top notch knives.,Was told this would change once demand tapers off.,Could be awhile.,Actually, the handle is fine.,It is just a very poor piece of Ironwood.,I procured a beautiful block of wood to replace it with, from Texas Knife Supply, and have the original,of course,to match it with.,The finishing material would be the same that Randall uses.,Another challenge would be removing the fluted butt cap without damaging it?
