For the guys who have heat treated a lot of stainless, I was wondering if you have problems with big temp swings and having to replace your thermocouples and coils often?

Replacing Oven thermocouple and coils

I had close to 20 years on my evenheat before the thermocouple went. At
the time I replaced the elements too, but would'nt have had to. I'd say I heat
treat a fair amount of stainless (2, 6" wide X6' long pieces a year made into folder
blades and springs. I had a buddy over (electrician) a couple of months ago with
an IR camera- like a 16,000 dollar camera. Randomly set my oven on 1200 degrees
and let it heat up, it read 1200 right next to the thermocouple. I can live with that.
