Friday evening. Drove all day yesterday to get here - three of us.

It's set-up day, with only club members allowed. After a nice healthy breakfast, we arrived a bit after 8 a.m. Doors don't open until 10 a.m, but there are a bunch of us nuts who like to get a jump on things, so a bit of horse trading got done. In fact I bought 6 nice old knives, and nearly blew my budget out of the water, before the doors opened!!!
Fortunately, after setting up, I sold several knives to put things right!
There are a ton of old and new knives here - - -it is going to be a great show!
Can't post pics or work my email, so I'l post tomorrow night, and add pics when I get back home! See Y'all tomorrow!

Have a good time guy. And don't forget to post pictures of those knives mentioned! And possibly more to come. :D

Wish I could have made that show. You drove right past me as I'm north of Seattle. Say hello to Jonny Mac tomorrow if you get a chance. He isn't a traditional knife maker, but he is one really nice guy.

Looking forward to pictures.

Enjoy the show, Charlie! I'm looking forward to seeing the treats you end up with.

Have a wonderful time at the show Charlie, looking forward to seeing the new knives. I was just telling Nettie this morning that the Oregon show is one I would like to do someday.

If you end up driving along the coast, wave as you pass Waldport. I won't be there but SWMBO will see you and say hello.:D

Will there be a harness jack left in the state of Oregon?

Evening already! Seemed like a long day, then suddenly it's nearly over! There are just a great bunch of good, down to earth people here! Looking after each other's tables, offering to share food, to avoid yet another cardboard thingy of french fries! I feel at home!
Business is O.K, but a little less than last year. I have blown the knife budget out of the water, and am resisting going to (shudder) credit!
A Fellow showed up from Nashville today, just could not stand the thought of this Show going on without him, so he up and bought a last minute ticket! Paid off too!, He found an exquisite Schrade Cut Co Peachseed jack, for (my guess) half price! Happy to see him score!
Thanks for the encouraging comments! See the other relevant threads, and wish you all were here!
Gotta sleep - up early again, in the A.M.!!

Home at last, home at last. 8-9 hour drives are fun, but not THAT much fun - good music helps!
Well I didn't sell as many knives as I would have liked, but I sold enough to cover the cost of these:

A Pearl Empire jack, etched "Our Winner". A little spotty, but actually pretty full, with nice Pearl!
Goes in the Empire display. I wonder what the significance of "Our Winner" is?? Old etches are cool, if sometimes mysterious!:rolleyes:

My first Honk Falls! Nice stockman with tasty bone handles! All blades marked;
Lucky find!

Schrade Cut Co made a lot of pearl "gents and ladies" type knives, but almost no stockman patterns! Hard to find, especially near mint!

I've seen other Schrade Cut Cos in this type of jigged bone regalia, but haven't completely figured out the time frame. Must have been a short period between "irregular" jigging and peachseed. Minty!

More to come!

The Honk, and two Schrades above were uncovered out in the parking lot, before the show opened on Friday, along with this Stag Schrade Cut Jack;

And this worn but useable Schrade Cut fancy jack!

Back in 1990, Terry Davis made this nice traditional English Jack as the club knife.
Brass liners, nickel bolsters, Remington type "recurve" clip blade. Sole authorship, he cut, jigged and dyed the bone, heat treated the steel! Some unusual stuff on a custom grade knife!

Arrrggghhh!! Stop it Charlie please!! One heck of a time in Oregon to put it mildly.
Some very fine knife finds.......Top of the list for me must be the Schrade Cut Co's. Although the pearl Empire is sweet as well. Unreal condition for their age....Congrats on the haul.

Great stuff. :thumbup: I really like that barlow.

Regarding the "Our Winner" etch on the Empire - I wonder if they considered that jack with those handles to be their top quality piece at the time and the etch is expressing that sentiment.
