Need to raise some more money, so offering my Stuart Davenport customs for sale. These are the best cutting blades I have ever owned, thanks to Stuart’s exceptional knife making skills. Both are in excellent condition and have only seen light food prep use, so they need to be moved to someone who might take them further…
No trades. I take Venmo and PayPal. Prices include USPS Priority shipping to CONUS and PayPal fees if you want to pay via G&S. I will ship to other countries so long as you agree to pay additional shipping costs (will get a quote for you), and to assume responsibility for the knife once it leaves USPS possession. Cross listed, so timestamp applies. Just post "I'll take ________" and send me a PM or email at andrew (dot) r (dot) welsh (at) gmail (dot) com to work out the details (that's also my PayPal address.)
1. 52100 Small Bowie wearing Purple Heart handles with Mesquite bolsters, brass pins. I designed this knife and had Stuart make it to my specs: 3 13/16” blade with 3.5” cutting edge, .090” blade stock. Stuart is a great heat-treater, and has this one dialed in for toughness at 61HRC. Crowned spine, near zero grind, as you can tell in the picture the blade basically just has a micro bevel. OAL is 7 13/16”, handle is 0.55” thick and very comfy. Has done some light kitchen duty, but that’s all. Oh, and blade was dipped in ferric chloride to force a patina, has a nice battleship grey tone. Would make a perfect hunting knife. Comes with a CollectorKnives leather slip sheath.
I paid $160 for this plus $20 for the sheath. Selling together, shipped, for$130 now $125 now $117
2. "Electro Slag Remelt" A2 Pocket Bowie wearing Ebony handles and black micarta pins. Oh mama, can this knife cut! 63HRC A2 at 1/16” stock thickness, so it's reasonably tough for a pocket knife but should stay sharp forever. Stuart said this is supremely “clean”, very high quality A2. I have hardly used this one at all, just sliced some apples with it and cut up veggies for a pot of soup once. It has a little bit of patina spots on the blade from that. But man, after that pot of soup, I swiped it just a few times on a strop and it was sharper than ever! Blade is 3 1/4”, with about 3” of sharp edge, OAL of 7 1/16”. Handle is thinner and chamfered for comfort, about .4”. Spine is crowned. Comes with a CollectorKnives leather slip sheath.
I paid $200 for this plus $20 for the sheath. Selling together, shipped for$160 Now $150 now $142
