I wouldn't go that far, more like spreading the word. :)

Your work speaks for itself!

So how many more Japanese blades until you change gears?

I have one of those green handled zombie kwaikens kinda in the works now, and a special order for a LEO. I guess you can say that any straight handled 7-8in long by 1in wide medium sized Japanese knife in carbon steel is going to be retired after that. I didn't mean it to be so broad of an alienation.

As far as the Japanese style, it has to be real different for me to proceed. I have a new design I am in love with that will feature some wrapped handles, as well as full and mortised tang construction. Its a kiridashi/pikal hybrid. I'm interested in it for the comfort of the knife, and the development of a new sheath carry/retention system I dreamed up. I'll also venture back into the wrapped handle on big fighting style knives. Japanese stuff isn't completely gone with me, I'm just not going to make the same 7 inch knife over and over.

I have developed a mortised tang system that I think is really going to make my work stand out. Experimenting with integral guards, colored liners, tubes....Its exciting!
