A large camper/chopper patterned after knives carried when rifles only held one shot and loaded from the muzzle. Not historically correct but following the patterns of the era.
Forged from 3/16 inch 52100 high carbon steel
Heat treated in my Evenheat furnace to Rc 58-60 with attention to a fine grain pattern throughout the blade.
Flat grind with forged texture on the flats
Professionally stabilized maple handle
Overall length: 15 inches
Blade:9 1/2 inches
Leather scabbard with a belt loop for a right hand carry

SOLD (was $220) delivered within the US. My PayPal and email address is gldrewknives@gmail;.com

I am watching a tv mini series documentary on U S Grant. Perhaps many civil war soldiers carried knives like this. I see similar ones in some battle scenes.
