The knife sports a cool grind, and I am quite proud of the end result. It is a full flat grind, but has already been "thinned" down. I don't think I can do the geometry justice with words. You really get the idea when you're holding it in hand, you can tell this is something special. Before sharpening, the edge just did reflect some light. 0.020" is measured way up from the edge about 3/16"!!! Sharpened 13°-14° per side, finished on UF Spyderco. This one, too, feels like a large razor blade, the edge rings when you run your finger along side it, and I really dig this one. The steel is superb stuff, almost identical in composition as the Blue 2 steels from Hitachi, with more tungsten.
I apologize for the bad lighting in the photos, it has caused some nasty reflections. "S Davenport" is etched on the left side, and "O7" on the right side. 1.2442 is considered O7 tool steel.
Now only SOLD with Kydex sheath/belt clip and free shipping in the lower 48 states. A steal for a steel! I think you're really gonna be blown away by the grind and how well this thing cuts! You don't buy knives like this "over-the-counter". You need a prescription! (I'll write you one). A small sharpening choil can be added if the buyer prefers.
Thanks for dropping in!
