Reprofile or Regrind?

Did just that, picked me up a spyderco military. I love emersons though. First real knife I ever had was a super cqc7 gifted to me and later stolen. I ordered a WEP a few minutes ago so from now on I'll buy the knife I like regardless and make the edge what I want:D

cziv, i have put v edges on emersons before with no problems. i turned joezillas a-100 into a scandi grind with no problems.

I think it would be fine; not all that much metal is being removed even.

Thanks for the short answers guys. Emersons really look tough folders. I'm not sure if they're as tough in the field as Zero Tolerance, but they don't have those massive recurve blades. I've never considered owning one because of the chisel grind.

If memory serves, I combed through Emerson's offerings and I think I saw some that offered a two sided edge. The price was out of sight for them and linerlocks to boot! They must be something special since I'm always hearing of and seeing them here. :)

Just re-bevel it. I did that to a CQC-13 with no problems. I used the extra-coarse stone with my DMT Aligner kit to get it established. Not a whole lot of metal being removed.
