My latest folder I'm calling "Reptile". The lizard skin Damascus blade and color scheme call to my mind Reptile of Mortal Kombat fame.
The blade is 3 1/4" long and made from 1084 and 15n20 steel in lizard skin pattern. The scales are vintage canvas micarta. All screws and hardware are green anodized titanium*.
The backspacer is line-cut fileworked black g-10. The liners are green anodized titanium and feature climbing thorn and vine filework casing the backspacer. The clip is green anodized and textured titanium. Closed length is 4 1/8".
*Green anodizing is the most difficult color to achieve. It also seems to have more of a varying appearance of shades due to how it reflects light. These pieces were all given the same etch treatment and anodized with the same voltage at the same time. The shades appear slightly different in the pics but they are all nearly identical in color. The different surface finishes and textures reflect the light differently making it very difficult to photograph.
