Request for more straight blades.

How about a "group buy"? I'd put some $$ down for one these, that is one impressive blade!

Every once in awhile, that is possible. The first course of action is to ask Yangdu if she is up for it. These sign up buys can get pretty wild;) Then, a thread peaking interest is started. After so many people are on board and pre-paid, the order goes out.
Now for the kicker. The kamis are wonderful craftsmen, charming people, very kind....and the most frustratingly unpredictable lot you could imagine:D Sometimes they make exactly what you want. Sometimes they switch it up and "improve" on the design. Sometimes an order for 20 pieces go out, and 8 are shipped in;) It really is part of the fun and charm of having something handcrafted half a world away.
The chit bowie has been around long enough that I think they could get it right and in the right numbers. This is actually how cult fav blades like the new run of YCS, Seax, Kerambit, and Foxy Folly got their big break and crop up from time to time unannounced:)

HI lost money over the Foxy Folly.

I think instead of a 'group buy' we should ask Yangdu to make more Chitlangi Bowies. Then as they come in, if there's any problem with the implementation, it can be corrected on going, and not after 30 are made.

Course- that's just my first opinion. What HI does is up to Yangdu, and is often surprising.

I agree with Munk. I'd like one that looks like Lefthandblack's. But, I wouldn't want it varying much from that design.

a chitlangi bowie as in the picture would rock. black/silver or wood silver. NO brass. no no no no no no no :)

it's perfect no? make 50! :)

I like the straight blades. I just got a Kumar Karda and absolutely love it. Fits my hand so much better than the JKM-1. I'd love to see a JKM-1 with a bigger handle or a KK with a 4" blade.

The title to this thread has an entirely different meaning after the sheep thread.
