Request for review of the Schrade Extremem Survival Knife

Has anyone actually used one of these knives ? I am looking for a decent production knife of similiar size to use as my go-to field knife.

Schrade nomenclature seems to be a bit loose. There are several different designs with this name. Please post a link to the one in which you are interested.

Horndog did a review where he compared the Schrade to several other knives.

I'm not sure if it was here or the Scrapyard forum where he posted it, contact him and ask.

The Schrade did pretty good.

I searched here and didn't find it, go to the Scrapyard forum and look for it there.

HornDog did his review on the hollow handle one piece Schrade knife. I noticed that the pictures you posted were of a different model.

Still worth a look at his review to get an idea of where the Schrade stacked up against some other well known knives.

I've not seen any reviews here of that knife.

The blade of the hollow handled one was made from 1095. No idea what this blade is.

The hollow handle review was one of mistwalker's first reviews. I find his reviews well done. He posts a lot in the Wilderness and Survival Skills Forum.

There seems to be some confusion about which model I am interested in. I am interested in the Schrade Pacifica copy. I really don't care for the hollow "survival" knife.
