Thanks. He has some very good insights in to the strengths and weaknesses of various locks and the knives that use them. My biggest take-away is, "you've gotta be smarter than the knife" if you don't wanna git "bit".
 
I bought a Spyderco Military to prove to myself that liner locks cannot be trusted. I cannot get it to fail. I've stabbed and put weight and pressure on the spine and I've only succeeded in moving the liner lock from a perfect 100% engagement to a hair over 100%. The liner lock by Spyderco is now one of my favorite locks.
 
This is the only Miltary lock picture I have at the moment. I could have sworn I had one of all my Millies together, but I guess not.
