Please post pix of your slipjoints in the open position showing all blades.
I don't know what the blades of most slippies look like and will not purchase one without seeing the blades.
It's a hassle to request pix from a seller who has multiple knives listed that look interesting, but just don't show the blades.
I for one would purchase more slippies if all the ads show the blades.
Thank you, rant over!

It's really not necessary if you know what Slipjoints you like collecting! Group pics give you the general idea of what's up for sale! For example.. you just comment sent you a message about item 5, and then ask the seller for more information if you see it's a knife that you know you need in your collection!

My slipjoint sale posts show the blades and are available :D

I think it's mostly the GEC threads and people just expect you'll know what a #26 or #52 etc..is. I don't. Lol! But that's ok. The people who collect them know I guess.

Especially when it's a huge lot of knives in one picture. By the time I figure out which knife matches what price and listing it's usually sold anyways. Saved me some money a couple times. Haha.

This is a nice area BTW. It's fun to keep an eye on it and see what y'all are selling.

Posting a short video of the knives batoning through hardwood would be helpful as well. Thanks.

A lot of times the (closed) pictures aren't even good enough to tell how many blades there are; so showing the blades is much appreciated

I agree. Sellers might not even know about their knife having blade rap damage etc... it isn't just about knowing what a model looks like. It is about what actual condition the "new in tube" item is in. For what it is worth I have only ever seen Albers with blade rap. I received one and discovered it and I saw one posted for sale and zoomed into a picture and noticed blade rap and notified the seller. Did this put me off Albers? Yeah.

posting pics of just tubes or just closed knives is a fast and lazy way to post for sale items and maybe even sell them but if a seller has to go back and forth with multiple buyers PMing pics just create a decent for sale post for all potential buyers in the first place (is my opinion).

some gecs have blade rap, whether it was factory or owner inflicted is sometimes difficult to say. Off hand, it has happened to a 92, 85 and most recently a 14 S of mine. Now if I had kept them mint and not fiddled with them, they might not have had any blade wrap, however they were project or s knives anyway and i had purchased them for the pocket in mind.

Can't disagree with that

Yeah, just my sampling. I sharpened the rap dent out and it looked fine and warned the new owner before I traded it with the stag Albers I had. I never saw it in a GEC before, but could definitely have some since I have hundreds of GEC... but I open and close them all fairly often and check models like 92's and 87's and 65's pretty closely. To me Albers had way too many witnessed and reported, but I will stop picking on one brand. I'm not a knife maker so I will assume it is a challenge to ship out a perfect knife.

A picture is worth a thousand words; caveat emptor; In God We Trust (Everyone Else We Check) and Don’t we all love to look at the blades anyway? I agree - show-’em.
