Requested Box Elder Burl Pics

Had a few requests to see pics of the box elder burl pieces. Here are some pics of blocks and "before" it was cut up. This is just a sample theres more with other type of variation in it. Lot of it still has pencil lines on it so no sanding has obviously been done. -Larry

Forgot to mention, Yes this is without stabilizing and dyeing. Its basically in raw form. The stabilizng and dye looks great with this type of wood. Depth of color and flame is amazing. Example stabilized / dyed below.

I think the hard part with box elder burl is trying to avoid the bark, which you see a lot, and therefore you end up with a lot of waste. These blocks are a good example of nice clean pieces with virtually no bark, and then of course theres the worm holes too :thumbup:
